Welcome to E=MC2 - Energy Meets Climate Challenge

California leads the nation in greenhouse gas reduction helping to solve climate change and global warming. E=MC2, an independent media outlet, will guide you in discovering evolving carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas* regulations, news, litigation, legislation, politics, carbon and greenhouse gas offset markets, cap and trade plans, greenhouse gas trading data, CO2 taxes, and carbon investment funds.

E=MC2 provides information on alternative energy sources such as wind, solar, photovoltaics, biomass, geothermal, and hydrogen. Energy efficiency measures are a key to reducing our carbon footprint. Biofuels may help deflect fossil fuel use. As the science, technology, and regulation develops for alternative fuels, E=MC2 navigates you through the hype and the realities of making biofuels from biomass-including switchgrass, corn ethanol, biodiesel, cellulosic ethanol, and other low carbon fuels. E=MC2 provides access to original independent news on alternative fuel vehicles, including electric cars, plug in hybrids, V2G (vehicle to grid power), hydrogen fuel cells, and other renewable energy based transportation.

E=MC2 staff are experts in energy, environment, and economics. While we are CA based, we have reporters throughout the nation. As professional journalists, we do not promote technology or industry. We report on news and provide analysis. We abide by strict conflict of interest standards promoted by journalism organizations like the Society for Professional Journalists.

(Staff bios click here.) That said, we support the use of cleaner energy to help curb global warming. We do not want to see our planet suffocate. We don 't know the right way or the wrong way to get there, but we know how to navigate and help you do the same.

E=MC2 is California Energy Circuit affiliate www.californiaenergycircuit.net
